Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our motorcycle classes have limited seating, scheduled RiderCoaches, motorcycles, range space, and other resources reserved specifically for each class.
Our cancellation and rescheduling policy provides students with reasonable flexibility while giving us enough time to offer an open seat to another rider.
Cancellations & Refunds
7 or More Days Before Class
Cancel at least 7 days before your scheduled class and receive a full refund.
3–6 Days Before Class
Cancellations made 3–6 days before your scheduled class are eligible for a 50% refund.
Less Than 72 Hours Before Class
Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled class start time are non-refundable.
At this point, your seat, RiderCoaches, motorcycles, range space, and training resources have already been committed to your class.
No-Shows
Students who do not attend their scheduled class and do not provide advance notice are not eligible for a refund or reschedule.
Rescheduling
If you need to move your registration to another class, please contact us as soon as possible.
Rescheduling is subject to class availability and the same timeframes as our cancellation policy.
Requests made:
7 or more days before class: Rescheduling permitted, subject to availability.
3–6 days before class: Rescheduling may be permitted, subject to availability and applicable fees.
Less than 72 hours before class: Registrations are not eligible for rescheduling.
No-show: Registrations are not eligible for rescheduling.
Moving a registration does not reset or extend the cancellation policy. The policy remains based on the originally scheduled class date.
Late Arrival
Motorcycle training follows a required curriculum and schedule. Please arrive at the time provided in your class instructions.
Students who arrive too late to safely participate or complete the required course content may not be permitted to continue.
Being unable to participate because of late arrival does not qualify for a refund or reschedule.
Weather & Training Conditions
Motorcycle training is conducted outdoors. Rain alone does not automatically result in a class cancellation.
We monitor weather and range conditions closely. Training may be temporarily delayed or suspended when conditions create a safety concern, including lightning, severe storms, or unsafe range conditions.
Whenever practical, we will wait for temporary weather to pass and resume training when conditions improve.
If Shift Happens Motorcycle Rider Training cancels a class, affected students will be provided with rescheduling or other appropriate options.
Course Completion & Evaluations
Registration pays for participation in the motorcycle training course. It does not guarantee successful completion, a passing evaluation, or a Colorado motorcycle endorsement.
Students must successfully complete all required course components and evaluations to qualify for a Colorado Motorcycle License Waiver.
Not successfully completing or passing the course does not qualify for a refund.
Need to Cancel or Reschedule?
Please contact Shift Happens Motorcycle Rider Training as soon as you know you cannot attend your scheduled class.
