Motorcycle Training in Denver Built Around the Rider

Shift Happens Motorcycle Rider Training provides Colorado state-approved motorcycle training in Denver for new and experienced riders.

Our purpose is simple: give every student a fair opportunity to develop the skills needed to become a safe, capable motorcyclist.

We don't believe motorcycle training should be about rushing students through a course or simply preparing them to pass a test. Riding well requires real skills, and those skills take instruction, practice, feedback, and effort.

That's what we provide.

Why Shift Happens?

Shift Happens was created with a different approach to motorcycle training.

Our RiderCoaches work with students to develop real motorcycle control—not simply get through the exercises as quickly as possible.

If you're willing to put in the effort, we'll provide the coaching, feedback, and opportunity to help you reach the standard.

Students receive:

  • MSF-certified RiderCoach instruction

  • Colorado state-approved motorcycle training

  • Small classes

  • Motorcycles available for training

  • DOT-approved helmets available

  • Hands-on coaching and individual feedback

  • Training focused on real riding skills and safety

  • One honest price with no hidden motorcycle or helmet rental fees

Motorcycle Classes for New and Experienced Riders

We offer several ways to train depending on your current riding ability and goals.

2-Day Beginner Rider Course

Designed for people with little or no motorcycle experience. Students learn motorcycle control progressively, beginning with the fundamentals and developing skills including starting, stopping, shifting, braking, turning, cornering, swerving, and low-speed control.

Successful completion may qualify eligible riders for a Colorado Motorcycle License Waiver.

1-Day Experienced Rider Course

Designed for riders who already have confident motorcycle control and want to earn their Colorado motorcycle endorsement while strengthening important riding skills.

This is not a beginner course. Riders should already be comfortable operating a motorcycle before attending.

Private Motorcycle Training

One-on-one motorcycle coaching is available for riders who want targeted instruction on specific skills.

Private training is scheduled case-by-case so we can understand your experience and goals and determine whether private instruction or one of our complete courses will provide the better training experience.

More Than Passing a Motorcycle Test

Earning a motorcycle endorsement is important, but an endorsement alone doesn't make someone a skilled rider.

Our training develops skills you'll use every time you ride, including:

  • Clutch and throttle control

  • Braking and emergency stopping

  • Turning and cornering

  • Swerving and obstacle avoidance

  • Low-speed motorcycle control

  • Hazard recognition

  • Street-riding strategies

The goal isn't confidence without competence.

We want you to understand what you're doing, develop real motorcycle control, and leave with skills you can continue building long after your course ends.
