Student Success Stories

“At 73, I was a little hesitant to sign up for a two-day beginner course—especially since I hadn’t been on a motorcycle much since my early 20s. But I’m glad I did. (I needed the training to qualify for a motorcycle endorsement on my license, in preparation for an upcoming international trip.)

As the course progressed, each training exercise helped me gain more confidence on the Honda Rebel I was assigned, and I found myself genuinely enjoying the experience.

Liz and David, our instructors, were outstanding - knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. I’ll admit, my confidence took a hit when I didn’t pass the skills test on the first try. But to their credit, Liz and David offered me a chance to retest during the lunch break that same day. Thanks to their support, I passed.

If you’re looking to earn your motorcycle endorsement, I highly recommend this course. It was a well-run course, thanks to instructors who know what they’re doing.”

“Shift Happens and Liz were a fantastic choice for my enrollment in motorcycle courses. I have had my license for years and needed a refresher course. I appreciate that she offers these level 2 courses, and does a great job not only demonstrating the course and activities, but being instructional and constructive throughout the day.

She helped create a friendly and enjoyable experience and I would recommend her course to anyone!”

— Jesse G.

“I had never even sat on a motorcycle before, but a weekend course with these instructors got me from 0 to ready-to-ride. They managed to find a great balance for those who were new like myself, and those who had experience but lacked a license. Really fantastic time, and met some truly great people along the way.”
